Once you start the program, the main window appears like this.

A list of all the words in the dictionary is at the bottom right, for convenience.

Now type 'logoj' (without the quotes).  The screen appears like this, with the text cursor at the final s.

Then press space.

QuickAccents can see that this is not correctly accented.  (The correct possibilities appear in the listbox at the upper right).  So it highlights the word in red.
Now change mode to 'cheat' mode -- to insert accents as you type -- by clicking on the radio button.

Then place the text cursor after the final 's' and press space again.

This shows what now happens.  The correct accent is inserted -- and you can carry on typing.

In NT Greek there are words of different meanings which differ only in the breathings and accents.  QuickAccents cannot tell which should be used, so it displays all of them in the list, and chooses the most frequent.  So don't get careless!

QuickAccents has a couple of other modes.

A lot of people just type Greek using the Symbol font, and forget about the accents (which can't be entered in that font).

To help with this, you can paste in text in Symbol font, and it will be automatically converted to SPIonic and accents and breathings and iota-subscripts added.

In this example, 'kai logos' was pasted in, and then space pressed after 'kai'.  'logos' remains as it was.

Some people may be familiar with the betacode encoding of the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae.  If so, you can make use of this also, and checking or correction will work.

Here 'dauid' was entered, and space pressed.

A help file is also supplied.
